I read this book a few months ago and I just loved it. It is the story of singer Patti Smith and the artist Robert Mapplethorpe and their first years together in New York City. Theirs was a true love story, and she tells this sweet story so beautifully, it reads like a poem. It's coming out soon in paper back and it deserves to be read for its lessons on loving someone unconditionally for who they truly are, flaws and all.
